EPS Group Community Guidelines

These community guidelines (hereinafter “these Guidelines”) specify the operational terms and conditions covering users of social media accounts (hereinafter “the accounts”) operated by EPS Holdings, Inc. and its group companies (hereinafter “the EPS Group”). Users are requested to agree to the content of these Guidelines before using the accounts.

1．Management

Each company in the EPS Group manages use of its social media under its own responsibility.

2．Scope of Application

These Guidelines apply to all users of social networking sites operated by EPS Holdings.

  • When a user registers (or follows) as a fan of the accounts, the EPS Group considers the user to have granted access to account information posted on the system. Personal information obtained will be used under appropriate management to improve service. The EPS Group will not disclose the information to any third party.
  • The EPS Group bears no liability for the content of any third-party site that links to the accounts. Providing links does not constitute any guarantees on the part of the EPS Group regarding the site in question.
  • The accounts are operated via social media platforms, so it is not possible to reply to inquiries regarding the operational status of any particular social media platform. Please note that it is also impossible to reply to questions regarding the functions or usage of the software or applications provided by the respective social media sites, their operating companies, or third parties.

3．Ownership of Copyrights

All copyrights to any information posted on the accounts belong to the EPS Group.

  • Trademarks, service marks, logos, etc. displayed on the accounts are the property of EPS Holdings or the EPS Group.
  • No such information may be used without prior permission from EPS Holdings.
  • Copyrights, etc. to content posted by users belong to the user who posted the content. However, by posting, the user grants EPS Holdings the right to use all or part of the content without the need to obtain prior consent or pay compensation, and the user agrees not to exercise moral rights in this regard.

4．Replies and Inquiries

  • EPS Holdings does not manage comments or DMs received by the accounts. Please note that there is no guarantee that comments will receive a reply.
  • For inquiries or comments relating to the EPS Group or its services, please make contact using the Inquiry Form on the official website.

5．Following

In principle, EPS Holdings does not follow specific users.

6．Deletion Policy

In principle, the EPS Group will not delete content from social networking sites to which users are able to post. In addition, the EPS Group bears no liability for any content posted by users.

  • In exceptional cases, the EPS Group reserves the right to delete user content and comments when deemed inappropriate due to violating “7. Prohibitions” in these Guidelines, as well as when deemed inappropriate in terms of social media site operation.
  • In the event that a user violates these Guidelines, the EPS Group may delete the user’s posts or restrict the user’s access to the accounts, and the user may raise no objections to this.

7．Prohibitions

Users of the EPS Group’s social media accounts are prohibited from the following actions (as well as from behaviors that may lead to such actions). In the event that a user takes any of the following actions, the EPS Group may respond by blocking or unfollowing the posting account and deleting the post.

  • 1. Any of the following actions targeting the EPS Group, another user, or a third party:
  • Violating rights or interests
  • Slandering, insulting, damaging reputation or credibility, or violating privacy (including posting discriminatory expressions)
  • Identifying, disclosing, or leaking personal information without the consent of the individual (including disclosing information that enables the identification of an individual)
  • Interfering with the operation of the accounts or the business of the EPS Group
  • Violating copyrights or other intellectual property rights (use beyond the scope of private use is prohibited)
  • Misappropriation of information obtained through the accounts for commercial purposes (posting affiliates, advertisements, promotions, and other commercial content is prohibited.)
  • Posting information or other content for which one does not possess legitimate authority, as well as falsifying information
  • Posting of content unrelated to the purpose of the accounts
  • Interfering with use of the accounts
  • Posting or transmitting harmful computer programs via the accounts
  • Accessing via hacking or other fraudulent means, as well as monitoring or copying any part of this website
  • 2. In terms of social ethical norms:
  • Posting content for the purpose of committing a crime or that provokes criminal acts (including identity theft)
  • Conducting political activities as well as violating the Public Offices Election Act
  • Soliciting membership in groups or organizations, including religious groups
  • Soliciting investments, donations, funding, or purchases of goods or services
  • Introducing or soliciting views of other websites that are generally considered inappropriate
  • Any other actions that are ethically problematic, such as posting illegal information, obscene content, etc.
  • 3. Violating the terms of use of the relevant social media platform (media name), public order and morals, laws and regulations, or penal statutes
  • 4. Any other actions that the EPS Group deems inappropriate

8．Disclaimers

The EPS Group does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of information posted by users, and bears no liability for any damages resulting from trouble arising between users or between users and third parties.

  • Prior to posting information (including text, music, images, videos, and all other forms of content) to the official accounts, please ensure that applicable content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights and laws.
  • EPS Holdings does not bear any liability whatsoever for any damages resulting from the use of or inability to use the accounts.
  • EPS Holdings does not bear any liability for damages incurred by users or third parties due to matters related to the accounts.

9．Arbitration, etc.

These Guidelines are governed by and under the jurisdiction of the laws and courts of Japan. In addition, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any disputes arising between a user and the EPS Group.

10．Other Matters

The EPS Group may revise the content of these Guidelines without the consent of users.

  • The EPS Group may revise or correct content displayed on the accounts at any time and without notice.
  • The revised Guidelines will become effective when the EPS Group posts them to the accounts or publicizes them via other means, and will thereafter apply.
